The Michigan Humane Society Pet Pantry Program offers free pet food and supplies for families in need. We have recently opened up a Free Store for our clients and are excited to be able to provide toys, leashes, collars, pet beds, etc. in addition to food assistance.
Volunteers in the role of Free Store Manager will be responsible for greeting guests, monitoring and replenishing stock and ensuring that all clients have the opportunity to take two items for their pet.
All volunteers in this role will receive training with the Pet Pantry Coordinator prior to beginning their first shift. Free Store Managers are needed each Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday morning during Pantry hours - 8:30am-noon. It is preferred that this is a recurring role and volunteers commit to the same shift each week, but we are happy to accept one-time volunteers as well.
