About the Volunteer Role:
We are looking for individuals who are passionate about child welfare and development, and who would like to volunteer their time caring for children during parenting classes and support group meetings that Allies for Every Child facilitates for families.

Requirements:
The minimum age for this volunteer position is 18 years old, and the volunteer schedule will be based on when the classes are and what your availability is. All Play-pal applicants must complete a Volunteer Intake Packet, submit immunization records for MMR, TDaP and Influenza, have a physician complete a TB Skin Risk Assessment, and have a livescan completed.
Formerly known as Westside Children's Center, Allies for Every Child exists to serve Los Angeles' most vulnerable children. We are child wellbeing experts, early learning educators, social workers, therapists, and child advocates who meet every child and every family where they are. We intervene to alleviate chaos, engender stability, treat trauma, and ultimately ensure that all children have a childhood. We do this by providing high-quality early education programs, family strengthening interventions, foster care and adoption services, and integrated services.

Mission Statement
Allies for Every Child works to ensure that every child has a safe and nurturing environment and the support necessary to grow, learn and thrive. Allies supports under-served, vulnerable children and their families in southwest Los Angeles County by providing a full range of crucial, multidisciplinary services, including child development (early care and education and special needs) and child welfare (foster care and adoption, family support, family preservation, infant and family mental health, health consultation and referrals).
