What:
Volunteers are in high need to teach students at Westside or Ed White High Schools! After completing your work-readiness or financial skills courses, students will be eligible to complete a work program to teach elementary students! Volunteers are needed to teach either JA Personal Finance, which teaches students about the connection with today's financial decisions and future financial freedom, or JA Career Success, which equips students with the tools and soft skills to earn and keep a job.
Today, JA reaches more than 4.8 million students per year in more than 100 markets across the United States.
Junior Achievement (JA) programs are grade level specific and incorporate the areas of financial literacy, entrepreneurship, and work readiness. We have programs ranging from kindergarten to 12th grade.
No teaching experience is required to teach a JA program! Our staff will provide training and will give you a classroom kit complete with all materials needed to teach the lessons, including a guidebook.

Description
Junior Achievement is the world's largest organization dedicated to educating students about workforce readiness, entrepreneurship and financial literacy through experiential, hands-on programs.
Our volunteer-delivered, kindergarten-12 th grade programs foster work-readiness, entrepreneurship and financial literacy skills, and use experiential learning to inspire students to dream big and reach their potential.
JA's unique approach allows volunteers from the community to deliver our curriculum while sharing their experiences with students.
Through an innovative partnership between the business community, educators and volunteers, Junior Achievement helps young people connect with relevant learning and the importance of staying in school. JA students develop the skills they need to experience the realities and opportunities of work and entrepreneurship in the 21 st-century global marketplace.
Junior Achievement of North Florida is one of 115 JA Areas in the United States. JA of North Florida has been in operation since 1963 and serves youth in Duval, St. Johns, Clay and surrounding counties.
