We have a handfull of residents who would like to spend more time at the branch of the Chicago Public Library a block away from our home for the low income elderly. I am hoping to find a volunteer who would be interested in walking with those interested across the street so they can check out books or spend some time on the computer. I also have a couple residents who would like books but aren't capable or well enough to make it to the library all the time and this volunteer could bring books to them. The volunteer would also spend minimal time shelving displaced books in the home's own small library.
