Sonoma County Library

The Rohnert Park-Cotati Regional Library seeks enthusiastic and knowledgeable volunteers to help run our upcoming CoderDojo club for children and teens ages 8-17. You do not need to be a programmer to mentor at a Dojo! Dojos benefit from having mentors with different skills, backgrounds, and levels of knowledge who provide support and encouragement to CoderDojo youth (Ninjas). A lot of mentors are attendees' parents who have no technical experience at all when they start. Training and support provided by our CoderDojo champion, and through the CoderDojo community of free, open and local programming clubs for young people

The CoderDojo Club will meet Thursdays between March and May from 4-5:30.Volunteers should be committed to volunteering 2 hours a week, enthusiastic and excited about mentoring youth, and be willing to learn. Volunteers will go through training before the official launch of the program in March. For more information or to apply, please contact Terra Emerson ( at the Rohnert Park-Cotati Regional Library.
