Fall 2019 season starts the week of September 2nd and ends the week of November 4th.
Girls on the Run volunteer coaches inspire girls to be joyful, healthy and confident.
We hold 2 seasons each year; spring and fall.
At each program site, 3-6 coaches work together to deliver GOTR curriculum to girls in 3rd - 5th grade. Teams meet after-school twice weekly for 10 weeks; each practice is 90 minutes long. The coach time commitment is approx 4 hours per week for lesson preparation and facilitation. Coaches work closely with program participants, their families, fellow GOTR coaches and the site liaison.
See site schedules here.

Mission Statement
We inspire girls to be joyful, healthy, and confident using a fun, experience-based curriculum which creatively integrates running.
Description
We are a ten week after school program for girls in grades 3-8. The girls meet at their school with volunteer coaches to go through a curriculum that teaches them important life skills such as how to be a good friend, how to stand up to gossip and bullying, positive self talk, and even complete a community impact project all while using physical activity and movement to train for a 5k. At the end of the ten-weeks we have a celebratory final 5k where the girls at all of the sites come together and gain confidence through accomplishment! Our goal is to really develop the whole girl mentally, physically, emotionally, and socially.
