VeraCare Hospice is looking for Volunteers!!!
We are looking for Volunteers that are caring and would like to spend time with our patients.
Can you be a good listener or just hold someone’s hand?
Can you spare an hour a week?
Are you that Caring Person we are looking for?
Then we need You for Our Volunteer Team!
We have many volunteer opportunities Valley-wide for those who want to make a "Difference in the Lives of Others."
Volunteering is a lifestyle change. It has the ability to create a new life for you, provide personal satisfaction and social interaction. It has the flexibility to fit your personal schedule and to offer you new experiences.
Volunteers can Volunteer any day of the week including weekends. Our Volunteers provide assistance that enhance the comfort and quality of life for our patients as well as their families and caregivers.
We are looking for Volunteers that can give emotional support and companionship to our patients. Talk to them, read a book, write a letter, watch TV, listen to music, play a game or cards, listen to their life stories, laugh with them, give a hug, hold their hand and just be there for them.
Volunteers are also needed to help with activities for Group Homes, as well as Volunteers who have musical talent like singing or playing an instrument, Volunteers with Pet Therapy Animals, Veteran Volunteers and also Event Volunteers to help with various events.
Our Office is located in Tempe, however we have Patients located Valley Wide, but are especially looking for West Valley Volunteers.
