Make Martin Luther King Jr. Day a day ON not a day off by assisting EPIC Arts program staff with their new year's cleanup from 9-11 a.m. You'll be rolling up your sleeves to wash down the room where they've been housed while the EPIC Arts Clay Studio building is renovated. For more than 20 years, CHWC has transformed vacant lots and blighted properties in Kansas City, KS, into thriving neighborhoods through building and renovating affordable homes for sale and for rent, providing homebuyer education, financial assistance and counseling, as well as community engagement through our arts studio and urban teaching farm.
Since 2002, CHWC has built, renovated or repaired over 500 homes, educated thousands of families, generated over $90,000,000 of capital investment in Wyandotte County Neighborhoods, and touched the lives of countless residents and volunteers through our arts, urban agriculture, and other community engagement efforts.
