Early Learners School Guides work with students in preschool through second grade. Programs include Plants & Me, Is It Alive?, Butterflies in the Garden, and tours include Sensory Tours and Garden Variety Tours focusing on young learners.
Each program features a tour portion which takes place in an indoor or outdoor garden space, and a hands-on activity portion, which may be completed in a classroom setting. Throughout all Programs and Tours, young learners focus on building connections between the plants they know and new plants. Program content features the following concepts: needs of living things, life cycles, and how people use plants.
The goal of these programs and tours is to connect our youngest visitors with plants through fun, hands-on, age-appropriate learning experiences.
You can learn about being an Early Learners School Guide at an upcoming virtual information session. The information session will be on Tuesday, November 12, 10-11:30am.
