Event Details:

Valentine's Cards: you and your team have 100% complete control over your card making process. The cards can be made from scratch or bought at the store. Please include a handwriteen note that you feel would be appropriate for the group that you are writing to. Ideally, something inspiring and uplifting works great. Feel free to also include drawings, especially from kids. It really comes down to your personal message to a child in a hospital, a disabled vet who is recovering, and/or active duty military serving overseas.

Sorting: Please make sure to sort all of your cards in appropriate groups: i.e. disabled vets cards in one group, active duty military in another group.

Deadline: The deadline to have your cards in to me is Valentine's day (February 14th)

Delivery: After you and your team have completed your cards, please send me an e-mail. We will coordinate a time for me to pick them up from you, or for you to drop off by me.

Sealing Envelopes: Please do not seal the envelopes, as we will be reviewing all of them to ensure that they are appropriate and sorted correctly.

Spread the word: The success of this event is contingent on volunteer participation. Please spread the word to friends and family who you think would be interested in helping out. Please follow us on Facebook, Instagram, and Linkedin as well (links at bottom of website)! We can't do this without you!!

Thanks again, and please let me know if you have any questions,

------------------------------

Valentine's Day is right around the corner and this year our goal is to deliver 10,000 handwritten Valentine's cards to disabled vets, active duty military stationed overseas, and sick children at local children's hospitals.

Imagine if you were fighting to defend the US in a foreign country and received an uplifting handwritten note expressing gratitude for your service. Or if you were recovering from an injury at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center and received an inspirational note thanking you for your sacrifice and inspiring you to continue pushing forward to recovery. Or if you were a child suffering from cancer and you received a Valentine's card from a total stranger who was sending their prayers, love, and support your way.

A simple handwritten note can make a huge impact on someone's life and help them through a very difficult time.
