The SW Washington & Oregon Chapter of Alzheimer’s Association is seeking volunteers who have a background in elder care, caregiving, and/or knowledge of dementia and want to provide support to people in the early stages of Alzheimer’s disease or other dementias and their care partners to facilitate our Early-Stage Support Group. This group is designed to provide emotional and educational support, helping participants develop coping methods and encourage caregivers to maintain their personal, physical and emotional health. Our Early-Stage Support Group meets at the Medford Senior Center on Mondays from 11:15 am- 12:15 pm.

Description

The Alzheimer’s Association Oregon & SW Washington Chapter is part of the Alzheimer’s Association, the world's leading voluntary health organization in Alzheimer's care, support and research. From its offices in Portland, Bend and Medford, the Oregon Chapter provides education and support for people diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease, as well as their families and caregivers. In addition, it offers local support groups, early-stage engagement programs, community education classes and a 24/7 Helpline (800-272-3900).
