We are in search of individuals to become a part of our exceptional Hospice team. Hospice provides physical, emotional and spiritual support for terminally ill patients who may be at home or in a nursing facility.
All volunteers receive specialized training and ongoing support and are an integral part of our hospice team.
We are looking for:
DIRECT CARE : Volunteers provide friendly visits for companionship and socialization, as well as a comforting & supportive presence when patients are nearing the end-of-life. Specialty Volunteers provide Aroma/Reiki/Massage/Music/Pet therapy, or Craft projects with patients/caregivers.
ADMINISTRATIVE: Filing, copying, assembling information folders in our office on an as needed basis.
BEREAVEMENT SUPPORT: Assistance with mailings, follow up calls to bereaved, participation in memorial services when needed.
SPECIAL EVENTS/FUNDRAISING: Assistance with event planning & Attending health fairs.

Volunteers are an important part of the Hospice team, and there are a variety of volunteer roles available. We offer comprehensive training and on-going support for all of our volunteers.
Description
Faith & Family Hospice is seeking volunteers who are interested in providing friendly visits and companionship to our patients. Pet therapy volunteers are also welcomed! Training is provided, and scheduling is flexible. Pre-employment drug screening is required and is at no cost to volunteers.

- Orientation or Training
- Flexible scheduling once training is completed. Volunteers provide friendly visits from 1-4 times each month when assigned to a patient. Patients and their caregivers are always grateful for the visits that a hospice volunteer provides!
