What is the Pais Movement?

The Pais Movement is a global non-denominational organization that creates partnerships between schools, community projects, businesses and churches. Paul Clayton Gibbs founded the organization which has grown from being one single team pioneering a work in Manchester in 1992 to becoming a global enterprise with teams and headquarters on six continents. Its first team outside of Europe was launched in the U.S.A. in 2002. Over the next several years to present there have been teams planted in over 13 nations worldwide.

What is a Pais Apprentice?

Pais offers a 100% FREE Gap Year experience as a missionary! As a missionary on Pais (known as a Pais Apprentice), you will be part of a team of 3-5 people from various cultures and will work for the youth department in a partnered church. You will have the opportunity as a multicultural team to plan youth events, disciple youth, and create an engaging community with the youth at the church. Your team will also be connected to the surrounding school systems where you will go into the schools to do presentations, class lessons, mentoring, and other activities to serve the youth in schools. In the schools, you will work on developing mentoring relationships with students and create opportunities for those students to learn more about Jesus and become involved in the local church. Throughout this year, you will be equipped with the tools of mission, discipleship and bible study. This life experience will better develop you as you later move forward to college, your career, and even life. If you want to take a year off to be a full time missionary and bring student’s lives to Jesus, then WE WANT YOU!
