Who we are

Remineralize the Earth (RTE) is a Northampton, MA-based 501(c)3 non-profit organization engaged in a variety of projects both domestically and internationally that promote the use of finely ground rock dust and sea-based minerals to restore soils. Through our education and outreach, projects, research, and advocacy, RTE facilitates a worldwide movement that brings together gardeners and farmers, scientists and policymakers, and the public to regenerate soils and forests around the world, increase the nutritional quality and yield of food, and stabilize the climate through carbon sequestration.

We work with local and remote volunteers on Basecamp and Slack. Our team is made up of federal work-study students as well as graduate students, researchers, experts and professionals.

Position Description

RTE is looking to build capacity so that we can initiate projects around the world. We are looking for a Fundraising Director who takes the initiative and is steadfast in building direct relationships with donors, foundations, celebrities, and companies. A person who has experience in managing fundraisers and relationships with philanthropists, and is passionate about improving the quality of our soils and make an impact.

We have exciting projects developing in Spain and Brazil and are looking for funding for an educational resource area on our website for teachers and students. We are also focusing on funding for capacity building, projects ranging from local to global campaigns, and strategic management support.

Volunteers are required to have access to high-speed internet and a computer or laptop.

The Fundraising Manager will be responsible for the leadership, planning, and execution of RTE’s fundraising program. The manager will manage all components of developing a fundraising strategy, from its early stages all the way through its implementation and promotion in the public phase and direct a team of fundraising volunteers. The Fundraising Manager will report to the Executive Director.

This position is an ideal opportunity for a high-performing, collaborative, and experienced fundraiser and development leader to build on the momentum of RTE.

Required Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience with fundraising, marketing, and development with nonprofit organizations
  • Bachelors Degree in a related field
  • Native English speaker or fluent (reading, writing, speaking) at a business level
  • Experience with developing a fundraising strategy and program
  • Comfortable leading a small team of volunteers
  • Passionate about the environment, regenerative agriculture or related fields
  • Excellent communicator, organized and engaged team-player
  • Accountable and can work independently when needed
  • Knowledge of/experience using Slack, Basecamp, Google Workspace or similar tools
  • Knowledge of/experience using tools or platforms for fundraising
  • Must have a computer or laptop with access to high-speed internet
  • This position will be local or virtual

Mission Statement

Remineralize the Earth promotes the regeneration of soils and forests worldwide with finely ground rock dust as a sustainable alternative to chemical fertilizers and pesticides, creating fertile soils much as the Earth does. Not only do we need to recycle and return the organic matter to the soil, it is equally vital to return all of the mineral nutrients which create fertile soils and healthy crops and forests.

An international NGO that networks information and research on soil remineralization to gardeners, farmers, ecological activists, scientists, policy makers and the aggregate and stone producers whose by-product is a source of remineralization; to promote further research and projects, from small to large, cooperative to businesses that would benefit and create a healthier environment.
