If you are interested in volunteering PLEASE provide a phone number and e-mail we can reach you at to schedule a Volunteer Tour. This will assist us with contacting you in a timely manner. During the tour you will meet the animals and learn more about the programs at the Ranch. We are a therapy ranch where we partner with animals to heal the mind, body, and spirit. We utilize horses, small animals, and barn animals in our many programs. Volunteers are utilized to help care for the small animals which include rabbits, chinchillas, hedgehogs, a bird, and a tortoise. These small animals live in individual cages in our Critter Cabin. It is extremely important to us that they are well cared for with clean cages and time for attention and enrichment.
Volunteers are needed during the morning Monday through Friday for a minimum of 2 hours to care for these little guys. Play Therapy, one of our counseling programs, takes place in the Critter Cabin, as well as camps, special needs field trips, after school programs, etc. Keeping the Cabin clean and fresh is vitally important. Our barn animals include miniature horses, dwarf goats, and miniature pot-bellied pigs. We partner with these animals in Animal Assisted Counseling and other activities. We believe it is important to provide enrichment time for all of the animals. This is a time when they can be out of their cage or pen for playtime, grooming, training, and loving attention. Description
Paws for Reflection Ranch is a Texas 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation on 15 acres in Midlothian which partners with animals in the healing process along side counselors, educators, and horse professionals. The animal partners include horses, goats, pigs, dogs, cats, rabbits, chinchillas, hedgehogs, a tortoise, and a parrot. Volunteers are an essential part of the Paws for Reflection Ranch team. Volunteers help take care of the animals, assist with program activities and/or events for individuals with special needs. Paws for Reflection Ranch is open Monday through Friday and occasional Saturdays.

- Orientation or Training
- Minimum 1 day a week for 4-6 week. Activities start at 9:30 a.m. and typically end by 12:00 p.m.
- Jr. Volunteers between the ages of 10-15 years old must have a parent/guardian volunteering with them. Adult volunteers 18 yrs and older must complete a background check.
