Austin: Hospice Volunteers Wanted for Daytime/Weekday Patient Visits!
Hold a hand. Pat a shoulder. Give a hug. Touch a heart.
Address envelopes. Feed a pet. Bake a cake.
Make phone calls. Record cherished memories.
Working directly with Capitol Hospice patients and families or helping in other ways, you can make a BIG difference in someone's life, including your own!
Want to use skills you have or learn new ones?
- Volunteer with Capitol Hospice and you can provide companionship and emotional support to patients diagnosed with a terminal illness.
- Training is free.
- Daytime, weekday, weekend, visits preferred.
- Give an hour a week or more.
- No experience or medical background necessary.

Description
Capitol Hospice offers end-of-life care, pain management, and symptom control for any person with an advanced illness or who has a life expectancy of six months or less. At Capitol Hospice, we pride ourselves on the quality of care, professionalism and kindness that we provide to our patients and their families. We recognize that each patient’s situation and needs are unique. Our services are not only limited to the patient, but extend to all family members as well.
