Heart to Heart Hospice is looking for senior companions near you! Our office is located in Southgate, Michigan and serves individuals in Northville, Plymouth, Canton, Ypsilanti, Belleville, Ann Arbor, Livonia, Redford, Dearborn, Dearborn Heights, Westland, Taylor, Romulus, Southgate, Trenton, Woodhaven and more.
This is a great opportunity for college students, retirees, stay at home parents, and those who would like to give back to the community. Our patients our often in their own homes or living in care centers. Volunteers are great for emotional and spiritual support, and companionship. By spending just a brief amount of time on a weekly or bi-weekly basis with a patient can bring great joy and comfort during their final days.
Volunteers can take mobile patients to activities within their facilities, play cards in their rooms, watch television, talk about the day, take a walk through time by asking about who the patient is/was. Volunteers can also visit with family members of the patient, and provide caregiver relief for a short time.

Description
Our Southgate office is looking for volunteers both in the clerical/administrative and patient visit capacities. We have a growing office with a very friendly staff and are seeking those who wish to give of themselves but are prepared to recieve far more than they give. Patient visits are completed in homes, nursing facilities, and adult foster care. We are very flexible and will work around your availability.
