ORGANIZATION: The Well Community Development Corporation

Impact: This position helps support The Well CDC’s Restoring Housing Initiative to restore blighted homes which will be sold or rented at affordable rates to community members. The instructor will help our Middlebury neighbors develop skills in home maintenance to support those who are already homeowners or equip those becoming homeowners.

Tasks and Responsibilities:

1.) Plan and prepare the activities and instruction for a home maintenance class
2.) Assist the AmeriCorps VISTA in creating a list of materials for the class
3.) Assist the AmeriCorps VISTA in set up before the class
4.) Provide quality instruction and hands-on training to participants in 1.5-hour class session
5.) Assist the AmeriCorps VISTA in clean up after the class
