We're in need of volunteers to help with our upcomingNeighbor Knowledge Exchange event in downtown Grand Rapids. Each year, Dwelling Place hosts this event to connect local residents to resources in the Heartside area. For more info about the event, visit: https://www.facebook.com/events/473105570261485/
Volunteer Roles:
Set-up (4) 11-1pm: Set up tables and chairs.
Sign-in (2) 2:30-5pm: Welcome people who come to the event and sign them in. Let them know where the restrooms are found and how to navigate the event. Bilingual Spanish speakers encouraged!
Greeter (2) 2:30-5pm: Welcome people who come to the event and sign them in. Let them know where the restrooms are found and how to navigate the event. Bilingual Spanish speakers encouraged!
Hospitality/Wayfinding (2) 2:30-5pm: Check in on our resource tables, offering them water or snacks.
Clean-up (2) 5:30-7:30pm: Help clean up the space, take out trash, put away tables and chairs, etc.

Mission Statement
For over a quarter of a century, Dwelling Place has been creating and preserving affordable housing for individuals and families. At the same time, Dwelling Place has provided critical support services to some of those individuals and families whose life challenges have sometimes lead to homelessness. Finally and no less important, Dwelling Place has served as a catalyst in numerous neighborhood revitalization efforts.
Description
Dwelling Place's Neighborhood Revitalization Program infuses neglected neighborhoods with profitable businesses, transforms blighted areas with building facade improvements and rehabilitation efforts, and creates a destination with interesting attractions and events. This program is composed of two services: Commercial Property Leasing and our Mainstreet Programs.
