We need to construct a website to spread information about church projects in the Philippines, and solicit donations for those projects. We have a domain name but that's all at this point. Looking for some advice / instruction on how to create a functional, professional website.
We would like to have:
* A separate page (or post) for each project, which would include written information and an embedded YouTube video describing the project
* A "Donate" button associated with each project
* Automated email receipts for each donation
* Mailing lists for donors to (or those interested in following) each project, so that we can email them updates on the progress of that project
* Some kind of thermometer or other display (for each project) that shows the fundraising goal, amount raised (confirmed donations only) and the amount still needed
* Ability to download (to a CSV or Excel file) records of all donations
Leaning towards a WordPress site, but unsure what type of theme to use, which plug-ins to use, and how to integrate everything. Need some advice and some teaching on how (for example) a website, MailChimp, Stripe, etc. all talk to each other. A phone consultation would be great, or I'd be glad to meet in person.
