We're in need of an energetic volunteer to support an after-school nature program on Tuesdays between September-November from 3-5 pm at the Benjamin Banneker Charter Public School in Cambridge, MA. The volunteer will work alongside a staff member from Farrington Nature Linc, a local nonprofit, in delivering the program, which will focus on guided outdoor activities, nature observation and exploration, games, and arts and crafts with approximately 12 students at a time in Kindergarten and 1st grade. Responsibilities include supporting individual students with participation and needs; helping to lead activities and manage materials; and supporting routines such as walking from school to the park, jackets, and bathrooms. The commitment is weekly starting September 3rd and ending November 26th, with possibility for continuation from January-May 2020.
