Do you have a busy schedule, but would still like to spend your free time doing something to positivity impact the homeless cats in your community?
Then AHS has the purrrfect volunteer role for you! We are currently looking for compassionate individuals who would like to help our feline residents by collecting shoe boxes.
Shoe boxes help cats feel safe and secure in the busy shelter environment by reducing their stress and improving their stay while they await adoption.
Shoe Box Squad members will reach out to shoe retailers in their area to see if they would be willing to save their empty boxes for a good cause. Volunteers and selected retailers can establish a pick up schedule that convenient to pick up on a weekly or semi-weekly basis.
Once boxes are collected just drop them off at either of our main shelter locations! All our kit cats ask is that you cut the tops off the boxes so they can jump in with ease (:
This role is a pawesome opportunity for those who lead a busy life or have a fluctuating schedule, but would still like to dedicate some time each week to helping furry friends in need.
