The evening and weekend volunteer greeters are responsible for greeting and welcoming residents and guests to our building located in the heart of downtown Chaska. Answering phones and transferring calls is part of the responsibility of this position. Hours available are Monday - Friday 3:55pm to 6pm, and Saturday and Sunday from 2:00 to 5:00pm, or a quick lunch position is available Tuesday - Friday 11:15 to 12:30 with consideration for vacations and other commitments. This is an ongoing position. Students often have time to study while serving in this volunteer position. **Requirements - must love older adults** Will train on all responsibilities.
A general volunteer orientation and background check must be completed prior to volunteering. CMS has issued a rule that requires COVID-19 vaccinations for employees and volunteers at facilities such as Auburn. Proof of vaccination (booster is not required) must be presented prior to volunteering at Auburn. Please reach out to discuss questions you may have regarding this process.
This is a great opportunity to work on your college course work or catch up on letter writing, while still making connections with older adults and community members. We ask for a commitment of one day per week.

Auburn Homes and Services is located in the heart of downtown Chaska, and has recently celebrated 90 years of caring and compassion of seniors. We consist of assisted living, memory care, and skilled nursing care unit; with approximately 100 individuals in our care at our Chaska campus.
