Queens Community House is recruiting volunteers for our Friendly Visiting program, a program that matches home bound older adults with volunteers for weekly visiting to help create a mutual relationship and help reduce isolation and loneliness among seniors with impaired mobility.
Female senior in her 90's is looking for a Tuesday (morning or afternoon) visitor with an interest in discussing books, music, television, art, or sports and would enjoy playing board games or card games together. Visits would take place in the senior's home once a week for an hour.

Description
Queens Community House (QCH) is a multi-site, multi-service settlement house that serves the diverse neighborhoods of Queens. We serve residents of all ages, races, faiths, and ethnicities while supporting the viability of the borough as a whole.
QCH was formed in 1975 (as Forest Hills Community House) to help heal the wounds of a neighborhood conflict. Over four decades, our reach and breadth have grown; today we offer a broad network of comprehensive services at 25 program sites in 11 different neighborhoods in Queens, allowing us to impact individuals, families, and entire communities.
