The Sponsorship Chair serves as the primary lead for recruiting new sponsors to the event, as well as strengthening relationships with existing ones. This position will assemble a sub-committee that will identify opportunities to engage with the business community in the mission of the Alzheimer's Association and participate in the Walk to End Alzheimer's. Exhibit excellent leadership, communication and interpersonal skills. Oversee sponsorship subcommittee meetings/check-ins to monitor progress. Must be able to delegate tasks and work hand in hand with other committee members and Alzheimer's Association staff.

Description
The Kingsport office is part of the Alzheimer's Association's Tennessee Chapter that serves 85 counties in Tennessee and Virginia with offices in Nashville, Memphis, Johnson City, Chattanooga and Knoxville. Since 1980, the Chapter has provided reliable information and care consultation; created supportive services for families; increased funding for dementia research; and influenced public policy changes. Today, the Tennessee Chapter serve the over 120,000 affected by Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias as well as the over 140,000 people involved as caregivers.
