Are you available to help in your community during COVID? The Red Cross needs friendly, healthy volunteers to check in and screen blood donors during Red Cross blood drives.
Help the Red Cross save lives by using your customer service skills. If you have a little free time (4 hours a week or even 4 hours a month) the Red Cross has a great volunteer position for you.
Volunteer blood donor ambassadors ensure that blood donors have a pleasant , fulfilling experience, and that they are COVID free and adhere to safety proceedures. During a blood drive, whether you’re greeting donors, answering questions or thanking them for their donation, your courtesy and professionalism will create a favorable impression that encourages ongoing donor support.
You’ll need to meet these important qualifications:
Communicate in a professional manner with diverse populations
Read, write, hear and speak English in a legible and understandable manner
Demonstrate excellent customer service and comfort working with people
