Established in 1963, the Fredericksburg Center for the Creative Arts (FCCA) is a non-profit, all volunteer organization and the area’s oldest art gallery. Home to both the Frederick Gallery and the Members’ Gallery, FCCA is housed in the historic Silversmith House (circa 1785) located along the Rappahannock River in downtown Fredericksburg, Virginia. Come discover where art and history meet.

We are currently looking to fill a few specific board positions. We are looking for a Docent Coordinator, Hospitality Chairperson, Historian, Membership Coordinator, and Grants and Fundraising Chairperson.

Our Board of Trustees positions are normally voted on at our October Members Yearly Meeting.

If you are interested a position description can be supplied. Potential Candidates are required to attend a Board of Trustees Meeting as part of the interview process. Meeting are currently being held virtually.

Description

The Fredericksburg Center for the Creative Arts (FCCA) is a non-profit, member-supported, volunteer run arts center and gallery housed in the historic Silversmith House (c. 1785). We are also a partner of the Viginia Museum of Fine Arts which provides the FCCA with numerous resources to share with the community. We display the work of local and national artists, provide educational opportunities for children and adults, and place a strong emphasis on community outreach and interaction. Beyond our regular exhibition schedule we sponsor lectures, a monthly film series, monthly poetry readings, trips to sites of cultural and artistic interest, and also one-time events.
