Volunteers at CCoP

In honor of Martin Luther King Jr. Day, we will be getting together to cook a meal for about 80 people that will then be served at the CSA soup kitchen in Mt. Vernon. This volunteer event will take place in the kitchen and community hall of the Community Church of the Pelhams, in Pelham NY. There will be some tasks, such as making the dessert, that will be great for children. We also need adults who are experienced with peeling and chopping. Click "I want to help" to let me know if you'd like to come.

If you can't make it to the volunteer event but still want to help, please click "I want to help" and let me know if you're interested in donating ingredients, money, or pre-making a dessert at home.

Mission Statement

We are a community committed to following the teaching and example of Jesus through our worship, fellowship, and mission. We believe in the healing power of humor and the transformational power of love. We believe in being responsible stewards of God's green earth. We try to bear in mind Micah's wise words: "What doth the Lord require of thee, but to do justice, love mercy, and walk humbly with thy God?" We invite people of all backgrounds to join us as we seek a deeper sense of God's love. Our doors and hearts are open to welcoming all God's people. No matter who you are or where you are on life's journey, you are welcome here with us.
