Please visit the new page to apply.
We would be honored to have a couple of Music Therapist Hospice Volunteers assist our families facing the end-of-life decline of a loved-one.
If you are considering this post, I don't need to tell you the intense relief that the right music can bring to a situation.
If you are willing to do what it takes to become a Hospice Volunteer, please consider joining our group of Hospice Volunteers servicing Ocean County. Hospice Volunteers go through a training, as well as various background and health checks.
More details are available by requesting an Introductory Packet. [This Packet is printed, so please provide a mailing address.]
The next training opportunities will begin early February.

Mission Statement
Our mission is to care, comfort and heal. Hospice volunteers provide companionship and support to people with life-limiting illnesses and their families. They visit patients in private homes and in long-term care facilities and they offer the gift of presence, by listening, acknowledging and affirming the journey ahead.
Description
We seek emotionally mature individuals who demonstrate the personal qualities of empathy, flexibility and the desire to make a difference in another person's life.
Volunteers offer support to the patient and their family, often providing much needed respite for caregivers. They also provide practical assistance such as running errands, preparing a snack or performing light housekeeping.
