Story Tellers Bring the Magic of Reading to Area Preschools!

There is no better gift to give a young child than the gift of literacy. Join the Santa Cruz Public Libraries' team of amazing Story Tellers and bring interactive story times to area preschools ... then watch the magic happen! This is a wonderful opportunity for anyone who enjoys children and is passionate about children's literacy.

Story Tellers complete four hours of training provided by a skilled children's librarian before being assigned to an area preschool. Our next training will take place in mid to late September. Story Tellers work in teams of two and can volunteer once a week as a team, or biweekly on an individual basis. (Although program schedules are open at this time we are particularly looking for folks who can volunteer on Friday mornings.)
