This volunteer position is very flexible, can likely be done from home on your own schedule.
We are a local small non-profit with passionate volunteers wanting to make a big difference in our community. Our program is designed to provide services to youth from grade school to college. Most youth starting in our program are 10-12 years of age. Program activities include weekly game nights and monthly mentor/mentee outings. We are needing help in specific areas as we expand and start a second location -- one of which is event planning. This is where you come in!
Please contact me if you have a passion for youth and our community, and would like totake the reigns in planning monthly activities for our youth and their mentors. Activities can range from making toys to go home with the cats at the local pet shelter to a summer camping trip. And of course you can partake in the activities -- while not required, it is encouraged!
Please contact me through email and indicate a date and time that you can meet after 4:00PM. I will send a meeting invite and include our office location which is in downtown Vancouver.
Thank you!

Mission Statement
Providing long-term, caring, passionate adult role models for youth needing and wanting a mentor.
Description
Trust Mentoring (founded by a mentor/mentee pair with over 20 years combined success and experience) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation that provides long-term youth mentoring services from grade school through college. We serve at-risk youth in low-income households and children in foster care. Youth in our program, with the help of dedicated volunteers, will experience personal growth, social enhancement, academic success and economic opportunity. Our activities are group based within the community and have a 1:1 mentor to mentee ratio. Our program is sensitive to our volunteer's personal schedules and support is critical to mentor/mentee retention. Activities are planned and structured. One of our areas of focus is partnering with other agencies to strengthen mentoring and youth resources in Clark County. Whether you are a volunteer or representing an agency, please think of how our partnership could benefit youth and our community.
