HorsePower at Heavenward Farm is a group horsemanship and riding program especially geared for disadvantaged, at-risk youth age 8-16. Each group comes for 5 sessions on Sunday afternoons. . Volunteers are paired one on one with a chid and horse, and mentor that child through the program, building a relationship based on trust, commitment and respect.

Description

Heavenward Farm and Horsemanship provides individual, family and group programs that are therapeutic. Our Vision is to be a haven of hope and healing in which youth and adults experience personal growth through relationship with horses and the Creator in a peaceful, natural setting. We have weekday therapy (HAPPENINGS) and weekend groups of at-risk and inner-city children and youth, X-treme Horsepower.
We serve military Veterans, foster and adoptive families, and do community outreach events.
