This group of volunteers will meet monthly. The goal of this team is to raise funds for Kitty City and future buildings. Volunteers can choose from a variety of tasks including research, thank you card and letter writing, phone calls, appreciation event planning, presentations, business meetings and more. Join us for a meeting to find out if this is a good fit for you!

We will match you with the need you most enjoy! No experience is necessary, just the desire to help.

Mission Statement

Misty Eyes Animal Center is dedicated to improving the lives of pets in the communities that we serve by providing compassionate shelter, care and adoption services for homeless and unwanted dogs and cats. We will help individuals and families find a pet that is an appropriate match for their household. We will not euthanize for space. It is the mission of our outreach team to create a better community by teaching responsible pet ownership and kindness toward all living things.

Description

Misty Eyes Animal Center was founded in 2011.

  • Purchased land in 2015 and completed our first building in 2018.
  • Are 100% volunteer run and do not receive government funding.
  • Rehabilitated and re-homed over 1,500 dogs and cats.
  • Offer free humane education programs and a junior volunteer program.
  • Take on some of the worst medical and neglect cases in the area.
  • We turn away 2 animals for every 1 we save, mainly due to space limitations.
    - Proving the urgency and need for our services and future buildings. -
