STEM Activity Day

STEM Activity Day is a day of hands-on educational activities featuring the STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) content areas. Local businesses such as Corning, GE and others will be present to demonstrate how they use STEM content in their daily operations. New Hanover Education Ventures is a local educational non-profit and the organizer of the event. I am the NHEV president and will have several stations including how iron oxide slime reacts with magnets, a robotics station, a wave machine, and a math station with robots that draw geometric figures. I am a middle school teacher and NHEV's only volunteer employee. I am seeking volunteers to facilitate activities at the stations. All station information and supplies will be provided! Thank you for considering this opportunity. It is a very fun day!

This event is part of the MLK, Jr. Celebration Week Family Fun Day. I can't think of a better way to honor Dr. King and his memory than providing educational opportunities for children!
