ORGANIZATION: Social Impact Center

  • 20 people are interested

Are you looking to contribute your time and skills to helping the King County community? Do you have a passion for supporting opportunity youth and young adults? The Accelerator YMCA is the social services branch of the Y of Greater Seattle and we are currently recruiting for new board members! In 2018, our branch provided holistic support to 5,000 young people and their families who have experienced trauma from homelessness, foster care, juvenile justice or other systems to help them be safe, successful and happy. We are proudly the largest provider of housing to homeless young adults in King County.

Accelerator YMCA Board members contribute their talents, guidance and resources to strengthen the Y’s impact on youth in the community. Board members are involved in resource development, governance and oversight, along with strategic leadership of our organization. Board service provides opportunities to guide and steward programs improving the lives of young people. Board members gain professional and personal relationships along with the development of leadership skills.
