We are in need of one volunteer to become a Homework Assistant at Marjorie H. Tobias Elementary School. The Homework Assistant supports an individual or small group of students learning and improving effective homework skills to increase their productivity and success in school. This role also entails teaching concepts, giving strategy skills, and building students' confidence to ensure that they can complete homework on their own. Homework Assistants are instrumental in directing students on how to find solutions to their homework, instead of giving out answers. Additionally, the Homework Assistant will be in communication with parents about their students' improvement and/or updates.
