Love meeting people from the past? Want to share your passion for history with folks? Oakley Cabin African American Museum may be the place for you!

Join us and become a trained tour guide who will share with visitors of all ages the rich history of Oakley Cabin's early African American residents of the 1800's. Training will be provided, and SSL hours will be available for students who complete the training and a provide a minimum number of hikes throughout the year.

A two-part training offered in early spring,

Guides must commit to 5 weekends during the season, April through November.

Description

Our agency is located just north of Washington D.C., and was originally created to protect the stream valleys around the D.C. area. We have grown into a 34,000 acre park system with over 400 local, urban and regional parks; recreation centers; ballfields; playgrounds; nature centers, a botanic garden and over 200 miles of trails.
