Did you make a New Year's Resolution to volunteer in your community or help those in need? Preferred Hospice has the perfect opportunity for you! Patients receiving palliative care are often in need of someone to provide emotional support and comfort through companionship or friendship. Many patients are facing the end of life with no one to visit with them, or they feel more comfortable sharing their concerns with someone outside of their inner circle. If you would like to help another by reading, playing games, listening to music, or simply providing a listening ear, please contact us today. Preferred Hospice has several opportunities to fit your needs as we serve patients everywhere within an hour radius of our office in Ozark. We are also in need of volunteers to assist our administrative staff. Description
Preferred Hospice is a Missouri-based company comprised of a multidisciplinary team of Healthcare workers who specialize in end-of-life care. Among the senior team are Physician and Nurses who together bring over 50 years of Healthcare experience. We serve patients within an hour radius of our home office in Ozark Missouri.
Volunteers are essential to the Preferred Hospice Team. Direct Patient Volunteers provide companionship to patients while offering emotional support and comfort. Direct Patient Volunteers may also provide respite and assistance to patient caregivers. Office and Administrative Volunteers assist the office staff with many things from mail outs to data entry. Training, education, and mileage reimbursement is provided.
