Homeowners need help from time to time keeping their homes and yards safe and tidy. Planting flowers and trimming trees, watering, window washing and organizing contents of shelves are examples. Volunteers sign up based on the date and time of day requested, and in accordance with their own schedules. All participants in these activities are required to follow standard COVID protocol: wear a mask, observe 6' distancing from others, not have been sick or know you have been exposed to the coronavirus, and willing to sign the Village's Communicable Disease Waiver and Release document.

Description
Villages are vibrant grassroots communities of older adults who age actively in their own homes. Through a nonprofit, membership-based network, members make new connections, are exposed to different perspectives and give and receive mutual support. Villages are revolutionizing aging in our country. Their network of volunteers help people age interdependently by sponsoring social and educational activities, encouraging community engagement, and assisting members with services such as transportation, minor home repairs, technology, companionship and pet care. Fear of isolation is replaced with confidence that as older adults they can look forward to active lives filled with friendship, learning, and laughter.
