ORGANIZATION: Volunteers of America Northern Colorado Services

The Estes Valley Meals on Wheels program is available to people who are unable to prepare nutritious meals for themselves. Ready to eat meals are prepared by the Good Samaritan Estes Park kitchen staff. Then, our Crossroads Meals on Wheels Route Drivers take approximately 5-10 meals to clients on each of four different routes. Delicious, balanced, home-delivered meals encourage independent living, help maintain and restore health, provide a check on homebound individuals, and offer families peace of mind.

Deliveries are offered Monday - Friday and most volunteers take one route that requires one day a week to deliver those meals between 11:00 am and 12:30 pm. Meals are picked up at the Good Samaritan Estes Park facility and drivers set out on their routes from there.

All Drivers must have a valid driver's license, provide their own vehicle, and have current car insurance coverage.

The Retired & Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) of Volunteers of America provides volunteer opportunities for individuals 55 years and older to use their skills, insight and lifetime experiences to assist residents and non-profit agencies in the county. RSVP also offers a variety of programs which provide services and enhance the quality of life for seniors.
