Be trained to provide comfort, care and compassion to dying patients, their families and caregivers.
Roles and responsibilities could include:
- Assisting with bereavement administrative tasks and projects
- Calling families and caregivers for follow-up support
- Co-facilitating Bereavement Support Groups
- Participate in the planning and organization of an annual memorial celebration to support families and caregivers

Description
Kindred Hospice is a provider of end of life care, serving more people than any other Hospice provider in the country.
In Salem, we have a small, personable and dynamic team of doctors, nurses, hospice aides, spiritual care providers and social workers, who serve to offer excellent care to our hospice patients and families.
Volunteers are an essential part of our interdisciplinary team, in the ways that they help to provide both administrative and in-home support. Kindred offers extensive training on end of life care to our volunteers.
