Our clients come to us because they have a civil, legal matter for which they need guidance and possibly representation in court. Some are spouses needing to escape the abuse of their partner. Some are single parents unable to support their children because their spouse walked away from their responsibility. Without our services, many would do nothing about their situation (which could ultimately take a relatively simple problem and turn it into a major and complex issue), or they would attempt to represent themselves in court with little chance of success in our complex system of laws.
Over half of our clients are Spanish speaking and daily we receive over 150 calls (both English and Spanish). We are looking for a reliable volunteer bilingual interpreter to assist us with attorney client appointments, specifically on Tuesdays. Hours: Minimum 2 hours, from 9am-4:00 pm. Other days to serve are an option as well.
We graciously appreciate any time and assistance you're willing to give!

Description
Administer Justice is a non-profit organization who aims to balance the scales of justice for low-income and no-income individuals and families. Assisting people with their immediate legal problems is an important part of what we do, but it's not our only focus. As a Christ-centered organization, we bring compassion into every meeting and treat our clients with the dignity they deserve. Our team of caring volunteers come alongside neighbors to free them from legal burdens, so they can find freedom, through the help of a lawyer and the hope of God's love.
