Greetings!
Our Hospice & Palliative Care is looking for a part-time Intern that can assist with office duties and responsibilities. This individual will be coming in 2-3 times a week with a minimum of 5 hours a day. This position would be ideal for those in the following field:
Nursing, Chha, healthcare administration, public health, community relations, office management, medical administrative assistance, receptionists, social work, etc.
Volunteer Office Assistant Responsibilities:
-Answering incoming calls
-Filing organizing Medical Records and forms
-Auditing electronic medical records
-Assist with Intake and placement
-Assisting with bereavement phone calls and correspondents
-Assist office manager and CEO with additional duties
-Assist clinical staff with auditing and quality assurance
-Assist marketing staff with community outreach opportunities
-Coffee and food runs
Qualifications:
-Must have completed high school with a minimum 3.2 GPA
-Must currently be enrolled or have graduated in college or trade school in related field
-Must be at least 18 years of age
-Must have reliable transportation
-Must complete and have a cleared background check

We match volunteers to Hospices where they will excel the most. We offer training and orientation, continued education for all volunteers, certificates of completion and excellence. Whether volunteers are students trying to gain experience or if you just want to give back to the community. We hope that we find individuals who can successfully achieve their goals and provide helpful assistance to Hospice organizations within the Los Angeles County.
Description
Hospice volunteers provide companionship to people living with a serious illness and help their families caregivers in a variety of ways. Hospice also rely on volunteers to help with office work, fund raising, community outreach and other operational areas.
