Greetings!
Companion Hospice is looking for bilingual/multilingual volunteers for our organization to provide companionship through socialization. Volunteers will visits patients who are in need of companionship. Volunteers may activities such as:
-Bedside reading
-Bedside Painting
-Bedside Music and art
-Assist with Meditation and Breathing exercise
-Engage in conversation
-Light massages (hands and back)
-Nail painting and hair styling
-Light house cleaning
-Assist with caregivers
-Respite Care
-Assist with errands and shopping
-Life reviewing
Requirements:
-Must have reliable transportation
-Must be at least 18 years of age
-Must complete TB exam
-Must have a cleared background check
Incentives:
-Monthly educational In-services on related topics
-Awards and certificates based on performance
-Letter of recommendation
-Resume development

Hospice Volunteer Training is a program where we select qualified persons who can fit well with patients who have a terminal illness through several organizations. We match volunteers to Hospices where they will excel the most. We offer training and orientation, continued education for all volunteers, certificates of completion and excellence. Whether volunteers are students trying to gain experience or if you just want to give back to the community. We hope that we find individuals who can successfully achieve their goals and provide helpful assistance to Hospice organizations within the Los Angeles County.
Description
Hospice volunteers provide companionship to people living with a serious illness and help their families caregivers in a variety of ways. Hospice also rely on volunteers to help with office work, fund raising, community outreach and other operational areas.
