As a nonprofit, Darbster outsources to pet stores in New Hampshire to house some of our kitties until they get adopted.

Petsmart in Nashua is looking for volunteers to help with caring for the cats there. Ultimately Darbster is entrusting you with the care and safety of animals.

Duties include, but are not limited to:
-Socializing with cats and kittens, making sure they have proper exercise time.
-Feeding the kitties and making sure their cat area is organized and cleaned, cleaning the litter box, making sure they have blankets and toys, etc.
-Cleaning & sanitizing the cats areas once they go home.
-Being a part of a team & communicating to the rest of the volunteers and Darbster staff each time a shift is over.
-Being aware and empathetic towards the cats-this includes deciphering when something may be wrong with that cat and communicating it to Darbster staff immediately.
-Sometimes may be responsible for assisting with the adoption process, i.e. helping adoptees with the contract, taking an adoption photo, collecting payment, etc.
-Communicating to potential adopters in a professional manner & notifying Darbster staff if and when any issues arise.
-Communicating to Darbster staff when an adoption application is received.

-Past experience with animals is a plus but not required.
