This is a recruitment for our Library Buddies program.
The goal of the Library Buddies program is to promote mutually-enriching friendships between adult community volunteers and adult library patrons with developmental disabilities.
Library Buddies make a 6-month commitment to meet with their partner at least twice per month, one-on-one, in the library to socialize and build social skills through friendship and a common interest in books. They are encouraged to attend library programs together on occasion.
Library Buddy volunteers will be provided with training and paired with a library patron with an interest in this program.
