This is a non-paid board position. This position will be responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive and multi-channel marketing plans for Papayago Rescue House, Inc. products and programs based on 2024 goals. He/She will increase brand awareness and market penetration for PRH programs. He/She will work cross-functionally to drive internal and external communications, facilitate promotions, and maximize ROI through qualitative and quantitative research, sales and trend analysis, and an in-depth understanding of consumer insights. This is a confidential position and requires a high level of discretion and excellent professional judgment.

The Director of Marketing must be highly motivated, hands-on, self-directed, creative, enthusiastic, and possess a positive can-do attitude. Must enjoy working in a collaborative, non-profit animal rescue environment. This position also requires superior project management skills, and seasoned decision-making with the ability to anticipate needs and escalate concerns maturely, deliver exceptional customer service, and support a wide range of projects and activities while consistently producing products of the highest quality.

RESPONSIBILITIES * Develops and manages internal and external marketing campaigns and projects for Papayago Rescue House, Inc. * Coordinates production of print and web materials including direct mail, brochures, posters, and premium items by working with graphics or web designers and printers * Create social media presence and coordinate email blasts to donors and the community at large * Stay abreast of the competitive landscape, environmental impacts and consumer behaviors * Identifies current and emerging trends and integrate into applicable strategies * Monitors progress to goals and objectives through regular status reporting * Manages intricate and high-visibility projects and strategic partnerships * Develops strong relationships with existing network and key partners * Manages volunteers to assist in the work product development * Leads research projects using surveys, focus groups, polls, and other primary and secondary methods to assess communication effectiveness. * Works with the COO to create and maintain communications and activity calendars and project timelines * Works with other teams to review and/or produce materials for their projects

Mission Statement

Papayago Rescue House, Inc. will exist to support the well-being and maintenance of exotic birds, namely parrots, and their people families that require intervention and/or support services to thrive. Papayago Rescue House, Inc. will act in a not-for-profit manner to target parrots for rescue, rehabilitation, and re-homing. To better serve the 3rd largest pet community in the world, we will work with bird owners to increase their knowledge, provide mentoring and training to coping with parrot ownership to lessen the need for parrot owners to give up their birds. The community will be better supported to maintain the birds in their care to reduce how often birds are re-homed or placed in community facilities not equipped to handle bird requirements and behavior.
