Northwest Association for Blind Athletes (NWABA) will be holding a swim clinic for individuals who are blind and visually impaired at Washington State School for the Blind in Vancouver, WA. We are looking for volunteers with a background in either life guarding, teaching swimming, or both! We have both adults and children throughout the area that will attend this clinics. We are hoping to have a few extra hands to teach some basic skills to the athletes.

Description
The Northwest Association for Blind Athletes [NWABA] enriches lives and provides opportunities for children, youth, adults and veterans who are visually impaired. When individuals with visual impairments experience sports and recreation they have more self-confidence and open up to the possibility that they really can pursue their dreams in both sports and life. Our athletes leave behind sedentary isolated lives and they gain skills, confidence and joy.

- Volunteers will be asked to arrive at 2:00 pm. The event will run from 2:30 to 4:30 pm and we will ask that all volunteers complete a brief assessment about what the athlete worked on, what they could improve, etc.
