** ** Given the latest state and national guidance, Solana Center's volunteer opportunities have been postponed until the Governor’s Executive Order to Stay-at-Home is lifted.
We will continue to monitor developments with COVID-19 and as soon as we are able to open again and reschedule events, we will make sure to announce it publicly.
Thank you for your ongoing commitment to Solana Center and we appreciate your support for public safety at this critical time.**
Through education and action, Solana Center guides businesses to sustainable practices and empowers students, adults, and organizations to become environmental stewards in their communities. Our organization is built on the inspiration and dedication of passionate volunteers like you!
On the third Saturday of every month we hold a Worm Wranglin' volunteer opportunity, where volunteers join us at our home base to help care for our worms. Our resident worms help us teach San Diegans about the beauty of Vermicomposting (composting with worms). They act as a demonstration site and nursery for distributing worms to homes around the County. Help care for these amazing compost critters and promote sustainability in our community!
Plus, this volunteer activity is great for kids too!
