- Do you like working with kids? Would you be willing to teach Dungeon and Dragons to a new generation of gamers?
- Would you like the opportunity to hone your DM skills in a supportive environment?
- Are you looking for ways to give back to your community doing something that excites you?
The Rose Garden Public library is seeking a DM to help facilitate our ongoing "Dungeons and Dragons in the Library" program. Suggested play time would be from 4-6 o'clock Saturday afternoons but that is negotiable. Group will be capped at eight players, eight years and older.Qualifications:
- Previous DnD Dungeon Master experience is desired, but not required.
- Good communication skills (both to communicate with library staff of needs or issues, and also be able to communicate effectively with your gaming group during and outside gameplay).
- Willingness to teach. Patience is essential.
- Project management skills, a plus.
- Fingerprinting/background check (instructions will be provided).
- Professional, yet approachable and fun (as a San Jose Public Library volunteer, you are an extension of the San Jose Public Library and must act according to our Volunteer conduct guidelines).
